The best way to care for leather is to keep it away from moisture. If you need to clean, use a soft cloth or a leather cleaner/conditioner. Since the clasps on the necklace chain are sterling silver, that are susceptible to tarnish. If you do not like this look you can polish with a jewelry cleaner or jewelry cloth.
